That’s where Annemarie Börlind’s plant-based skincare recently came into play at just the right time. After the personal recommendations from my friend Ang and Shana, as well as being super impressed by the skincare’s popularity and awards in Europe, I was more than curious about their mature skincare line.
The best way I can describe the Naturoyale products is a step-up in intensity and luxury for mature skin. When your skin starts asking for more than just lightweight hydration, this feels like the good stuff. It’s rich, it’s luxurious, and it has been making my skin feel healthy and alive (my exact skincare goals).
But it’s doing all this work for my skin using high quality plant-based ingredients. Annemarie Börlind, who started creating natural skincare products back in the 1950’s, literally is quoted as saying ” If you can’t eat it, I won’t put it on my skin.”
I’ve been trying the entire Naturoyale plant-based skincare system (simple to follow and I’m loving it all), but there are 3 products in particular that I want to highlight that my skin is especially happy with.

My top recommendation. This is the stuff Shana loves and that my friend Ang recommended to me as well. They’re not wrong.

I’m a huge “skipper” when it comes to daily skincare routines, and I haven’t skipped one morning or night of using this treatment since it arrived. That’s saying A LOT!
The texture (like their night cream) is a bit thicker and I want to say tackier to the touch than other products I’ve tried. You only need the tiniest amount of the eye care and lip treatment, but it feels very effective. The skin around my eyes instantly firms up when I put it on… and it feels like it just tightens everything up on contact.

And the fact that it works for lips as well feels like a bonus. Again…just the tiniest bit does the trick.
2. Night Cream
Okay…so if you’re going to buy only two of Annemarie Börlind’s products from the Naturoyale line, I’d say get the eye & lip treatment as well as this night cream. This sounds silly, but every time I use this night cream it makes me feel like a true “grown-up”… using a real deal luxe night cream that’s working really hard for my skin. The thickest, most deluxe night cream I’ve ever used. And the texture is something I’ve never experienced before.

Like the eye treatment, this night cream is thicker and somewhat tackier to the touch than other creams I’ve used. As you apply the cream, it feels like the bouncy slightly tacky texture fills in all my wrinkles and seals all the moisture in place. The first time I used it, I was really surprised by how immediately effective it felt (after I got used to it feeling so different going on).
I wake up in the morning, after having used this decadent product the night before, and my skin still feels super dewy and nourished and healthy. For real…so hydrated. My skin is QUITE happy with all this indulgence.
3. Serum
Although my skin is really enjoying all 5 of the Naturoyale line of products, I have to say my third favorite from the whole system is the lifting serum.

I find this serum intriguing. I struggle with hyperpigmentation and am always looking for new products to help even out my skintone, and this plant-based serum was created for just that (in addition to other benefits).

It’s made to help balance hyperpigmentation and bring back radiance and freshness to your skin… but in a natural (non-chemical way). Using ingredients like sea daffodil to help reduce melanin production, black oat and Tremella fuciformis (a botanical hyaluronic acid) to provide intense moisture, white alba truffle to activate the skin’s own regeneration processes, and Centella asiatica (tiger grass) extract to promotes collagen synthesis.
I’ve been applying it after cleansing (before the luxe creams both morning and night) since it arrived and my skin is so happy. Makes me even more excited to see how it does over time as well.

One more product worth mentioning for sure… I borrowed Shana’s super fancy Inverse Night Cream from the new Natuneo line. Em loves this stuff and describes it as a light, almost meringue-like texture that melts into soft, silky creaminess when you rub it in. Like a dessert for your face. One that is quickly absorbed and lusciously plumping. It’s a treat.
It’s definitely pretty special (exceptionally smooth and silky just as she described), but I think my skin actually prefers the texture of the thicker and tackier to the touch Naturoyale night cream (that takes a bit more time to be absorbed).
